Motivation

In Motivation research, scientists examine the role of motivation in shaping academic development and achievement from adolescence through early adulthood. Specific areas of study include the relationship between motivation, cognition, metacognition, and knowledge transfer (see Nokes-Malach), the impacts of trained peer versus teacher feedback on student motivation (see Schunn), and the use of mindfulness and self-control to pursue long-term goals despite conflicting impulses (see Galla), see also How to Help Teens Cut Back on Social Media (see Galla).
