Research Interests
Geoffrey Lizar, advisors Charles Perfetti and Tessa Warren, Cognitive Psychology Program. His research interests lie in the general systems of human comprehension, studied through the lens of language and particularly the written word. While Geoffrey's interests span all levels of language from small variations in orthographic and phonographic cues to large-scale multi-document comprehension models, his recent work has focused on neurological markers (EEG/ERP) of word-level comprehension and the integration of individual words into a single- or multi-sentence context. Geoffrey will use his award for conference expenses.
